Critique

I was particularly pleased with my entry of 13 Xoloitzcuintle – formerly known as Mexican Hairless – in all three sizes although many of this particularly sensitive intelligent breed simply did not care for the echoing hall but, nonetheless, braved it out enough to merit their placings. The Jindos were very much happier with their surroundings & represented their breed proudly.

JD (3,1) 1 Watson’s Liubice Burnell, Jindo of 10 months with lovely head, eye & expression with excellent pigment just needs to build up his confidence being handled. RBD; 2 Griffiths’ Fawncrest Comet, Mini Xolo, just 8 months &, understandably, none too confident to begin with but soon braved it out & basically moved well. Lovely head, eye & expression with excellent body, where he scored here. His turn will surely come.

PGD(1) 1 Gorwill’s Alltot Jago, Mini Xolo, so well balanced with beautiful head & dark expressive eyes. He moved extremely well with excellent topline & smooth skin. BD.

OD (1) 1 Kirk & Turley’s Angelcrest Shadow Master, Mini Xolo, full of character with such a brave temperament. Well shaped head & alert intelligent expression with excellent skin. Just inclined to lose his topline on the move but sound & enthusiastic enough, being particularly strong behind.

JB (3) 1 Ford & Russell’s Rollenwood Tlalli for Setrique, Standard Xolo at her first show at just 6 months with such a brave, outgoing temperament. Already a great showgirl, holding herself so proudly seeming to know instinctively just how it should be done & she does it! Well balanced with lovely head, ears, eye & expression, so well made all through with good body & topline. Understandably, needs a little more experience being handled but quite superb standing & most impressive on the move. She is something very special. BP & RBB; 2 Gorwill’s Sheldobchi Heidi, coated Mini Xolo of lovely size & type with decent shoulders. Darkest of pigment, contrasting sharply against her red coat. Basically moved very well, just needs to build up her confidence; 3 Griffiths & Lockhart’s Sheldobchi Limited Edition at Fawncrest, Mini Xolo.

PGB  (4) 1 Balode & Emerson’s Shurano Neris, intermediate Xolo, beautiful black of lovely type, make, shape & balance. Well shaped feminine head, confident & so proud of herself holding her head high & moving to match the excellence of her conformation. Most impressive. BB & BIR; 2 Hayes’ Bronzee Bonito Howenvals, intermediate Xolo with good depth of chest & body, excellent mouth. Such a good mover with excellent topline. Could just do with a little more confidence; 3 Thurston’s Liubice Arabella, Jindo.

OB (5,1) 1 Balode & Emerson’s intermediate Shurano Neris; 2 Thurston’s Jindo, Morningcalm Chamoise, with well shaped head & charming expression, well laid shoulder, firm on elbow, good topline & spring of rib, in excellent coat. A confident character, who went well; 3 Roberts & Cawley’s Standard Xolu, Ima Little Miss Sunshine.
